The inspiration for who I am today has been my mom. She always guided me along a more enlightened path by encouraging me to always uphold integrity, courage, and righteousness. She taught me how to have character and persevere through adversity. On January 7, my mom’s story reached a new beginning as she passed away. She is the persona of a surviving miracle, a beautiful warrior, and an angel whose celestial love edifies and nourishes me. She watched over me, now it is my duty to watch over her lingering spirit. I vow to always carry her strong, loving heart. We were seekers of adventure through Harry Potter, Hunger Games, X-Files, Grimm, Kingdom Hearts, Egyptian and Aztec archeology, the universe's mysteries, cinematic soundtracks, abstract poetry, art history, and accepting unfathomable phenomena. Our philosophy was to always do the right thing, even when the choice was unpopular. She was my shadow, armor, and strength I needed.
