Quick story: 22 years ago I met @davidoftheyoon in our first creative writing class in graduate school. One of the very first things I fell in love with about him is what an incredible writer he is. Today my favorite thing he’s ever written is out in the world. City of Orange is heart breaking and heart making and just completely brilliant. One of the pieces of advice I always give to new writers is to try to remember that what matters in the end is creating a body of work that means something and will last. City of Orange is one of those books and I’m just so proud of him. #CityofOrange
