Reading Reginald Smith’s “Vinegar: The Eternal Condiment” and saw this painting of Confucious, Lao Tzu and Buddha tasting an urn of vinegar. Their expressions are said to represent sweet, sour and bitter to reflect the three great schools of thought in Chinese culture. Can’t help but wonder if someday @david_zilber @diegoaqp and myself will also be capable of such verve and conviction when tasting our vinegars.
