‘Working together on a yoga YouTube channel seemed like a no-brainer. At the very least, it might be good promotion for Adriene’s in-person yoga classes. If by some chance it became successful enough, we could maybe even quit our day jobs. It all seemed very far-fetched at the time. There wasn’t a roadmap to follow, because YouTube was still relatively new. So we kept making videos. Slowly but surely the views began to increase. We started to notice a community of regular viewers was growing. We still weren’t making any money, in fact we were losing money. But it felt important. So we kept going. We kept building.
