This past year has been a tough journey for everyone. For me sharing my favourite video is also sharing my trials and tribulations in 2021. Boxing helped me overcome a lot, it gave me an outlet and a new spark of excitement. I guess the lesson I learnt is that when life changes and those things you love start to leave, there’s always new things to fill their place. It takes lots of time and lots of patience. Adapt and overcome, one of the hardest and most rewarding things we can learn to do. We need to take the lessons we learn from all the worst nights and push through to better days. This is the sport of boxing to its core. You train, you get your ass kicked, you learn, and you try your best to be the one kicking ass the next fight. That’s all you can ever do. Shortly after joining boxing I got an amazing opportunity to shoot some concept work for a brand in Los Angeles all themed around boxing. In 2022 you’ll see some of this work on packaging and social media, this is a new milestone for me and something I’ve been very excited for. I haven’t felt the need to share, as some things I like to keep to myself, and in 2021 I was very focused on myself and my own mental health. What I felt in my head was a refreshing comparison to the sport of boxing and I was lucky enough to have some amazing people to showcase the hard work and dedication it requires. In the later months you all helped bring back a spark I was working very hard to see again.
