G-Land, Grajagan Bay, East Java, Indonesia, 1991. So much change in Bali and getting to G-Land. Early trips required an overnight drive with a couple 3rd World ferry rides, sleeping head to toe in the back of a hot mini-van and hoping your 'chain smoking cloves' driver didn't fall asleep. Then a boat ride and sketchy beach landing. Plenty of camera equipment lost on those landings. But such an adventure and a beautiful place. Very early stories of tigers roaming thru your camp at night, tiger tracks don't lie. Tigers only exist on Sumatra now. Great to see the WSL back after 25 years, hope the forecast gets better and they get true G-Land.
