On this #WorldLionDay 🦁 we want to recognize the amazing work that has been done in the #PandaMasuieForestReserve over the last few years. Due to the hard work of the Forestry Commission of Zimbabwe and our partners at Wild is Life Trust , with the help of #IFAW, lions have returned to this area of #Zimbabwe. A strong focus on supporting rangers in their work to prevent poaching and trafficking has allowed not only lion populations to bounce back, but numerous game species like antelope. ⁠ ⁠ We are so excited to share this amazing milestone, especially considering the general downtrend of lion population numbers over the last years.
