I upgraded my kit system almost 2 years ago now and I still love it. Through the years of changing and reworking my kit like most of you, I discovered that for me personally it’s not about the amount of bags I carry it’s what I pack, how I pack, what will I pack it in, and will my kit system work for me to ensure I achieve my key workflow goals. My kit fits in a carryon size, hard shell Calpak luggage, small Hulken bag and a rolling back pack. I carry 3 bags that can roll making it easy to travel can carry. When I am working with one client for hair and makeup or just hair or just makeup, I only pack my Calpak Luggage and small Hulken. Oh and my glamcor light fits perfect in the mix. What I remind myself every time I get ready to carry my kit: 💜Carry what you can handle, if you need to make 2 trips carrying your kit that is okay. 💜Always allow for more time for kit load in and setup when arriving to a job.
