Update 1/20/26: rehomed!
🚨 URGENT: HOME NEEDED BY MONDAY, JANUARY 26th🚨
Ronaldo, a 2-year-old bully mix (75-8bs) needs an immediate new home or foster. His guardian is moving this Monday to housing where he is not allowed, and his dog sibling has already been rehomed. He needs a soft place to land.
Ronaldo currently lives with another dog and two cats. He enjoys cuddling, playing with his dog sibling, and has done well on leash walks and on dog-friendly outings. He has met kids on outings and with visiting family members and has done well, though he has never lived full-time with children.
His guardian hopes to find someone who can patiently work on basic skills and crate training. In the past, a crate was used as punishment, which caused Ronaldo significant stress and fear around it. Because of this, PG Pet Unity Project’s Community Support Team will provide TWO complimentary training sessions to his new family to help rebuild a positive association with the crate and teach force-free handling.
Ronaldo was originally adopted from HRA, but his guardian is hoping to rehome him directly rather than return him to the shelter. Due to his negative crate history, a kennel environment would likely be extremely stressful and could put him at risk of being labeled “behavioral.”
If a home or foster is not found by Monday, January 17, Ronaldo will have no choice but to be surrendered to the shelter.
