‘Jeweller of Kings & King of Jewellers’ was how King Edward VII described the House of Cartier. And in 1904 Cartier became the official jeweller to King Alfonso XIII of Spain. 118 years on, Cartier is back in Madrid for the launch of the spellbinding Beautés du Monde High Jewellery collection. The Maison transformed the former British Embassy into a magnificent exhibition space to showcase both new & archive pieces (including Maria Felix’s life size snake from 1966).
