3 ways to experience belugas in Churchillđ First off, did you catch the cute beluga smile at the end?đ
The main reason people travel to Churchill in August is to see the belugas, so do as the belugas do and get in the water! We did all of of our ocean based subarctic safaris with @seanorthtours and we had the best time. Hereâs a rundown of the tours we did:
1. Kayaking ($170/person) this tour is 3 hours long and gives you such a playful way to experience the belugas. After brushing up on safety, youâre out on the water for 2 hours to paddle and play around with the belugas. Paddle backwards if you can to get a firsthand look at the belugas chasing your boat!
2. Paddleboarding ($170/person) this tour was similar in structure and length to the kayaking tour but youâre closer to the water! I found the belugas âboppedâ you less on the SUPs but it was such an incredible and relaxing experience to watch the belugas from your board. Also make sure you bring a GoPro or waterproof camera if you go on a kayaking or paddleboarding tour!
3. Zodiac Boat Tours ($123/person) we went on two zodiac tours (one just solely beluga watching and one that included a tour of Fort Prince of Wales). Both were incredible and the zodiac gets you further out into the Hudson Bay where the water is clearer. Sit at the back at the boat if youâre hoping to catch the action as they love to chase the current of water behind the boat!
Thanks so much to @travelmanitoba for sponsoring this tripđ#ExploreMB
