@roark recently came out with a limited book chronicling their adventures over the years. I had the honor of leading an exploratory expedition in search of surf in the remote Falkland Islands a number of years ago. I had researched this region endlessly, but shortly before the trip I started to seriously doubt the wave potential, to the point of calling it off completely. To my surprise, @ryanhitzel was unfazed. He felt that we had convincing evidence, it was worth the risk, and that this trip needed to happen. So we pulled the trigger. It ended up being one of the weirdest and craziest trips of my life, one that I will never forget, that ended with special wave setups found and amazing and unexpected friendships.
