This night, parade night, is one of my favorites all year - where SLO feels a bit like a hallmark movie and our @ahlouisstore is the lead character coming into her own. It’s here, on the intersection of Chorro & Palm, that each float steps off onto the parade route. We get a front row seat of the hustle and bustle as dancers and band members and first responders and tractors all congregate with one simple mission - to spread joy. Our goal for six years has been to do just that - spread cheer, reinvigorate this corner, draw attention to this incredible historic building and honor its place in our community. For the second year, I was invited to be an announcer of the parade and my college bestie @msallwein served as my incredible co-anchor. I loved every minute. Oh - and thank you to the @polyplantshop for the Luv U Pink poinsettas - tomorrow their annual sale opens and they will not last long!-AK
