i’ve been posting photos from this @harperwilde collection for a few weeks now but haven’t shared the campaign in full, or the secret minor nightmare that preceded its launch. when i was 13 my dream was to have a purple bedroom — i hand-selected fabric to make purple curtains, a purple comforter, pillowcases, sheets, throw pillows. i hand-painted my bedroom walls with a purple sponge pattern. it was an absolute monstrosity that will never be topped. needless to say, this collection was my baby, borne of all my sparkling periwinkle dreams, and the entire process was a delight and labor of love — from poring over hundreds of spacey blue-purple-pink swatches in my living room with @jane__emery, taking screenshots of the lizzie mcguire movie for wardrobe moodboards, to witnessing @cashad perfect her bubble technique. AND THEN! the week before it launched, we were told that the entire shipment, on its way from the manufacturer, had been left on the tarmac during a rainstorm and that 90% of the collection was completely water-damaged and unsalvageable. did i cry? yes. was it fine? also yes, somehow. we launched an abridged version of the collection and over the following weeks managed to salvage quite of bit of the remaining SKUs. anyway here’s w̶o̶n̶d̶e̶r̶w̶a̶l̶l̶ the holo collection. and no it wasn’t inspired by euphoria pls dont ask!!!!
