Reposting this picture from my main man Sixto Portilla @marisstellabluepoints this guy has bailed me out and hooked me up more times then I care to even think about in the past 3 years bringing me some of the best nyc (well Long Island) raised oysters on the market and helping me to impress hundreds of skeptical oyster eaters to switch to the briney side! Sixto (and usually at least one of his kids) is standing waste deep in the water basically every single day nurturing these little puppies and bringing them to your table and I mean every time every single time I have needed some help he has hooked it up for me and when you’re in the business of selling/introducing people to oysters you gotta have a farmer like this guy in your corner!
