All Aboard to the Swiss Museum of Transport ✈️ From vintage trains and planes to interactive space exhibits, flight simulators, and even a chocolate adventure with Lindt — this is Switzerland’s most visited museum for a reason. Heads up: The Swiss Transportation Museum is absolutely massive (it has over 215,000 square feet of exhibition space!) and you will absolutely need a full day there. There’s several large buildings and a large outdoor play area that are all themed to different transportation forms. From vintage locomotives to aircraft you can step inside, interactive flight simulators, and hands-on exhibits, it’s a fascinating deep dive into the ways we move across land, air, and sea. * Step inside vintage trains and gondolas * Walk through the aviation hall to see the collection of historic aircraft, climb aboard real airplanes, and try flight simulators * See unique and historic cars (and watch them come from the display with a robotic arm) * See futuristic space exhibits and watch astronomy shows at the planetarium *Play in hands-on exhibits where kids (and adults) can push buttons, test gears, and experiment with engineering. * A sweet stop at the Lindt chocolate ride And it’s not just for transport lovers — there’s also an IMAX cinema, a planetarium, and the Lindt Chocolate Adventure (which is a trackless ride) 🍫 (because no Swiss experience is complete without chocolate). We have been to many museums over the years and this is one of the most unique and fun museums I have ever seen. It is truly epic, amazing for kids, and needs to be at the top of your Swiss Must-Visit List. Have you visited this museum before? @visitswitzerland #switzerland #transportmuseum
