Sunset triple exposure at 4mm using the fisheye from Laowa and the Fujifilm X-H2S 🌆
The wide view and lighting of this spot made me think of possible ideas to utilize a fisheye perspective. Catching a proper silhouette at that wide of an angle isn’t easy but once you get that first shot in it’s really all about preserving the shadow and working the available space around it.
I don’t know if I’m very satisfied with the photo, the longer I look at it the less I like it haha. I should have left it without the light trails, or maybe just less of it to make the photo not as busy. However I take this image as a baseline for improving things in the future. Couple things I need to keep practicing here.. exposing the highlights correctly in the first shot, it’s kind of challenging with a fisheye lens. Second, I need to do better with my twisting technique when creating the light trail in the third frame. After trying for about 15 minutes, I still didn’t get the outcome I wanted. Light trails would end up in the silhouette or too curvy.. after my battery started to get low I rather took whatever I had instead of losing the image all together. I might have played it too safe.
Anyways.. next time I might switch the whitebalance for the light trails or come back at night for a different atmosphere. Enough said, hope everyone has a creative week ✌️
