Check out this video on how to place PLA Foam Eyepads.
There are so many reasons we love our Eyepads, designed at our facility and made in California! But we want to breakdown some of the biggest benefits of our Foam Eyepads vs. traditional gel eyepads.
👉First and foremost our Eyepads STAY PUT!
Gel eyepads tend to move, and don’t stay in place very well. If placed while client’s eyes are open, once they close their eyes, the gel eyepad can can move and get closer to the eyeball, making the client uncomfortable. Our Foam Eyepads stay put, not moving once placed.
👉Foam Eyepads are NOT absorbent.
Have you had teary clients? Most gel eyepads absorb the tears from our criers, which actually causes the gel eyepad to raise and thicken! No good!
👉Foam Eyepads are super comfortable.
When we were designing our Eyepads, we tested thicknesses, size, and shape for months before settling on our current design. Everyone at PLA has had an eyepad placed, so trust us when we say they are comfortable! And don’t worry about sensitive clients, our Eyepads are hypoallergenic and have no latex!
#PLAQuickTip - DETACK! Two methods to make the Eyepad easier to remove. If you have a client with oily skin, nano mist the back of the Eyepad before placing (shown in this video!) For your dry skin client, detack by placing the eyepad on the back of your glove, and remove!
