When I apply a colored stain, I try to keep the amount of wood grain showing through somewhat consistent. A high-quality brush can save a lot of time by both delivering the stain smoothly and consistently and even more importantly by not leaving a stray bristle stuck in the stain. Low quality brushes lose bristles and it’s frustrating to pick them out of your finish and then have to re-apply stain to maintain consistency. I have had an excellent experience using and then reusing @purdypainttools brushes in general but the Purdy’s SyntoxTM brushes are my favorite. They provide a mirror-like finish and are designed for use with all stains and clears. #ad #sponsored
