Yesterday, I testified in Germany about the dire need to formally recognize the Yazidi Genocide. Acknowledging atrocities also means acknowledging the responsibility to support survivors and hold perpetrators accountable. Germany has led efforts to prosecute ISIS members for genocide and sexual violence. Formal recognition will strengthen our collective efforts to end the culture of impunity.
