@teamtwodogs pauses for a final meal in Ballarat after picking up his custom Lightest Footprint Mariner’s turtleneck knit from Val in Ballarat. Our swashbuckling adventurer-at-large departs from @royalgeelongyachtclub at dawn tomorrow to sail to Sydney. He will be carrying on board his engineless boat, Ratu, four prototype jumpers Val has hand-knitted from our zero-emission Kington wool. Powered solely by wind, Two Dogs is expected to pass through “The Rip”, the slender, often challenging exit connecting Port Phillip Bay to Bass Strait on mid-morning Friday. This is where we will catch up with him before he makes his way up the east coast of Victoria and New South Wales. We’re not going to lie – conditions look a little dicey. Two Dogs, a former World Champion sailor, will have to rely on his almost five decades of sailing experience to navigate the incoming weather. Sailing enthusiasts can follow Two Dogs’ progress via a live tracker on his and our IG bio. Big shout out to @royalgeelongyachtclub for having Two Dogs and Ratu stay with you since June. We hope he hasn’t eaten you out of house and home. We’ve started calling him ‘Two Meals’, because the double-hound has a mean hunger, never leaving the breakfast/lunch/dinner table until he’s polished off two meals. In fairness, he’s certainly earned it, given the great man has carried our wool over 1500 km by boat and bicycle through Tasmania and Victoria. May you receive fair winds and exceptional wi-fi reception, Two Dogs! Go get it, captain...
