HIGHLIGHTING BEATRICE, THE AWARD WINNING CAJUN RESTAURANT, BRINGING A TASTE OF NOLA TO DALLAS! Say bienvenue to @restaurantbeatrice, a contemporary scratch-made Cajun restaurant in Oak Cliff that won Eater’s Best Restaurant of 2022! ABOUT BEATRICE Beatrice opened last May in the previous Jonathon’s Diner space. Chef and owner Michelle Carpenter pays homage to her Cajun background with a restaurant rooted in Louisiana’s culture and spirit of hospitality. The space is intimate and chic, with white linen tables and fleur de lys adorning the walls. SUSTAINABILITY What we really love about the restaurant though is their focus on sustainability and locally-sourced ingredients. They strive for minimal waste and source their produce from local farm @restorative_farms. They also share an herb garden with neighboring restaurant, Beckley 1115 - we watched as the bartender strolled over to pick herbs for our drink garnishes! AUTHENTIC CAJUN CUISINE The menu changes seasonally, but you’ll always find Cajun staples like Mammaw’s Fried Chicken, Shrimp & Grits and at least one vegan dish. Be sure to ask your server for the off-menu specials, which change daily! WHAT WE ORDERED 🦪 Oysters 🦐 Shrimp and grits 🐟 Fried trout with shrimp étouffée and grits 🌱 Okra fries ➡️ we’re coming back for their family-style seafood boil outside on the patio! CRAFT COCKTAILS Sip like you’re on Bourbon Street with drinks like the Vieux Carrè and Kings Cake Milk Punch, which actually tastes like a Kings Cake. Don’t despair if you’re doing dry January though, most of their cocktails can be made non alcoholic! Pro tip: While walk-ins are welcome, be sure to make a reservation, they have been slammed since being named Restaurant of the Year! With Fat Tuesday coming up, make your plans now to visit Restaurant Beatrice to get into the spirit!
