We’re kicking off 2023 with a calendar full of great events! This week, Drew Jackson kicks off our month, presenting Touch the Earth, a continuation of his project reflecting on the Gospel of Luke through poetry. Part protest poetry, part biblical commentary, Jackson presents the gospel story in all its liberative power. Next Tuesday, we welcome Stephen Marley and editor Tim O’Connell to celebrate the launch of The Deluge. This event also marks the first of our new “Editor and Author Conversation Series,” which will bring together some of the most exciting writers and editors working today to discuss their collaborative process, and the ways their tiny decisions come together to create some of our favorite books. And on Monday, January 9th, our International Book Club will host a discussion of Lion Feuchtwanger’s The Oppermanns, which was recently rereleased by our very own @mcnallyeditions. This will be a hybrid event, held on Zoom and at our Nolita store! Many more events this week listed below—follow the link in our bio to RSVP to attend!
