We all love a five-exercise leg day 🤝🏼 and the last exercise ...AHHHH!!!! is literally my favorite hamstring exercise that I low key forgot about! I’m currently a month into my program, and I’m finally feeling more comfortable with my movement patterns. The weight is very slowly starting to increase, which makes me excited to continue progressing. I’m talking about increases of just 2.5 to 5 pounds, even on my compound lifts.
It’s important to remember that our bodies and muscles respond to stress in a specific way: they break down, repair, and grow stronger. This process, known as muscle hypertrophy, occurs as long as we provide adequate nutrition and rest. The principle of progressive overload...gradually increasing the weight, frequency, or intensity of our workouts, plays a crucial role in this adaptation. Even small increments in weight can lead to significant gains over time!!!
Slow and steady truly equates to bigger, more drastic progressive changes. I’m here for it! Thanks for letting me share my little entry with you all! 🫶🏼
