It’s really that simple. On average some corporations around the world used covid to quadruple their wealth and their response is to cut wages right after they’ve given themselves huge bonuses and made obscene profits. Every Friday during Covid people clapped to say thank you to essential workers who kept the country going, now those same people some of whom, cannot afford to put food on the table, are forced to strike because they have no other choice. Last point, Huge profits mean bigger tax bills right? Imagine if wealthy corporations and people paid the tax they’re supposed to what would this country look like?
