Today I went to school without makeup… yes I am sure that doesn’t sound like a big deal, but it is. Early on I had the idea in my head that wearing makeup made me “the best version of myself” thus, when I had none on I was inevitably less than. It seemed so harmless and obvious to keep “just a little more”ing until I would wear full beat pretty much any wear I go; because I was “improving myself”. I am now realizing the toxicity of that cycle and don’t want to bare the thought that what I am promoting online is actually not empowering and instead unattainable. I am posting this as a reminder to my viewers and to myself that a.) not always wearing makeup you are still beautiful and it is NORMAL and b.) the best version of yourself is not dependent on your appearance, it is how you treat others and the actions you do that makeup who you are.
