✨THE 10 BEST THINGS I ATE IN LOS ANGELES IN APRIL✨ 1️⃣ Sicilian Corner @ Quarter Sheets, Echo Park @quartersheets Hot take: I still like Apollonia’s better for square slices. But this Sicilian had a crust unlike anything I’ve tried before, it was flaky and airy, 10/10. 2️⃣ Crispy Duck Mole @ A Tí, Echo Park @atilosangeles Crispy skin, juicy meat, 500 day mole, and blue corn tortillas. Just a perfectly prepared, crazy flavorful dish. 3️⃣ Double Cheeseburger @ For the Win, Hollywood (multiple locations) @forthewinla I also tried one with bacon and jalapeños, and shockingly their standard smash burger with no add-ons was better. They truly perfected it! 4️⃣ Kashmiri Gucchi Risotto @ Fitoor, Santa Monica @fitoor_santamonica I wasn’t gonna order this dish until chef Surya recommended it, and thank god I listened. Made with morels and truffles, this was the standout in a meal full of creative plates. 5️⃣ Tinga Tacos @ 5 Cazuelas, Frogtown @5cazuelas This family-owned food truck is a total hidden gem, serving some beautifully presented and absolutely delicious tacos. 6️⃣ Chilean Sea Bass @ Yamashiro, Hollywood @yamashirola This LA landmark is known for its incredible view, but I firmly believe those who hate the food here have never tried this dish. 7️⃣ Laksa Crab Crispy Rice @ Majordōmo, Chinatown @majordomola Charred crispy rice, spicy curry flavors, crab, lime, and a tableside presentation. What more could you ask for? 8️⃣ Assorted Salt Bread @ Concerto Bakery, Koreatown @concertobakery This spot has 13 flavors of authentic Japanese shio pan fused with Korean ingredients, and all the ones I tried were delicious. 9️⃣ Cowboy Ribeye Burger @ Lazy Dog, DTLA (multiple locations) @lazydogrestaurants Lazy Dog is one of my favorite chains, and this burger loaded with cheese, meat, and the perfect horseradish sauce to cut through it all is exactly why. 🔟 Chopper Cupcake @ Fan Fest Nights, Universal Studios Hollywood @unifanfestnights @unistudios Most of the food here was mid and not very well themed.
