First off, there’s nothing wrong with finishing the whole piece of chocolate, or what’s on your plate or whatever. But often times people feel compelled to finish everything on their plate, even if their body is telling them they are full. This can happen for a few reasons. 👉🏼You grew up in a clean plate club household 👉🏼You have food rules and are only giving yourself temporary permission to eat so you have to eat it all now before you go back to “being good” 👉🏼You try to “eat clean” or avoid certain foods so when you finally allow yourself to eat those off limit foods, you do so quickly and often mindlessly, missing the mark of comfortable fullness Respecting your body doesn’t just mean eating whatever you want, whenever you want with no regard for how you feel. Yes eat what you want, when you want AND pay attention to what your body is telling you. Is it signaling to you that it’s full and has had enough? Is it telling you “hey I get diarrhea after eating this every single time”. Learning to eat intuitively is respecting those signals 🥰 If you’d like to reconnect to your fullness cues and trust that your body will tell you what it needs, how much it needs and when it needs it, then I’d love to invite you to apply for my group coaching program🎉 Doors close this Friday 9/9 at 6 pm EST so click the link in my bio and submit your application 💕
