Meet Kevin, our Logistics Supervisor. He plays an integral part in making sure our quality beer gets delivered from our facility and into your hands! And speaking of quality beer: let’s crack open a cold can of Mosaic IPA to celebrate his amazing work ethic, positive attitude, and 11 year long journey with us! Tell us your story! 🎉 I actually used to bartend at our downtown brewpub back in the 90’s, which is coincidentally where I met my wife. She joined the Navy, and we ended up living in Iceland for 3 years. When I got back to the states I was on the east coast and worked as an operations manager for 15 years at a different company, but I had to leave because I wasn’t able to take any time off. There just wasn’t that divide between work and personal life. However, that wasn’t the case when I moved back to SD and rejoined KARL. Because of the unique culture, I’ve been happy with my work-life balance ever since I’ve returned! What does your day to day look like? 🚛 I get here at 3:30 am every day to make sure my team is set up and ready to go for their routes. After I make sure they are taken care of, my latter part of the day is coordinating trucks and orders that come in, along with helping out sales reps. Basically, I try to take as much off of Randy’s plate (our Logistics Manager) as possible. What’s your favorite thing about your job? 👥 The people I work with. It’s just a great group. I would do anything to take care of those on my team. Also, I just love the teamwork aspect of Logistics. You never really know who’s going to show up and what’s going to happen on any given day, but I enjoy the craziness and problem solving aspect of it! Favorite KARL beer? 🍺 I love all of our IPA’s across the board, but Mosaic is my fave! It’s the most crushable out of our lineup. Hobbies? 👨‍🍳🏋️‍♂️📚 I love to cook, exercise, doing crosswords, and I’m an avid reader. What excites you about the future? I have a passion for this job and I give it 110%, and whenever it’s time to retire I’m going to be proud that I had 2 solid jobs for my entire career! Overall though, I’m excited to watch the company and my department grow over time.
