It's Not My Story, It's Not Your Story, It's Every Entrepreneurs' Story! I am now in a position where I care for only a numbered things, my employees, my clients, and putting a good, functional collection every season so that it provides some value to them. The only notifications I read from the time I wake up till the time I go to bed, are the debit notifications from my bank, as I am nearing the launch. It's a fact, and to all the entrepreneurs who can relate to this, there are days when you feel that maybe we can reduce the no of pieces in the collection or maybe we can cut down the number of models we are hiring or maybe a "cheaper location" for the shoot would suffice or if we could let go of the laser cut technology for our shoes, that would downsize the budget, but then you start thinking about the "story", the one that you want to convey through your clothes, your art, and your design language. Leading you to long sleepless nights and the question that keeps you awake," Am I doing justice to the kind of responsibility I have towards the brand and the people associated with it, or my love for the creative process is taking an upper hand." The biggest paradox I encounter as the Head Couturier and the CEO. That's a day in my head and I would never not be honest, I can promise you that even if I fuck up, I will still tell the honest story Here's a takeaway for all the entrepreneurs and to all the people who are trying to build something on their own without any family support or outside funding or connections, I'd say, Cheers!!
