We actually get two blackberry harvests here in the northwest—one for the native Oregon Blackberry which happens in mid-July, and the other for the invasive Himalayan Blackberry which happens during the month of August. The Oregon variety is smaller but sweeter, but things were so hectic last month that I missed the gathering season, so I'm taking advantage of the Himalayan Blackberry harvest while I can!
