While we were in SF, we had the pleasure of seeing the show MY OVERDOSE WILL NOT BE TRAGIC, which gathers materials from the archive of Heather Edney (@sdfs_aworkingtitle) and The Santa Cruz Needle Exchange Program, curated by @ward5b at the @tenderloinmuseum. The show gathers flyers, ephemera, and zines (including the legendary Junkphood) from one of the first authorized needle exchanges in America. The SCNEP delivered life saving information and supplies to drug users, prioritizing users’ needs and experiences with a practice and approach that underpins today’s harm reduction movement.
