Two Dogs is officially en route to Sydney. After declaring that “nothing prepares you for sleepless nights like a sleepless night”, our Tasmanian mariner shook off his impromptu Wednesday rum session and sailed all night from Geelong on Thursday evening, arriving in Queenscliff on Friday morning. This is where we caught up with the characteristically buoyant Two Dogs. The experienced sailor then successfully navigated the infamous “Rip”, the small channel connecting Port Phillip Bay to the Bass Strait, and headed S-SE to Skull Rock, before charting a NE-E course past Wilsons Prom. Despite napping for just 3-10 mins in fits and starts, at lunchtime today Two Dogs said he plans to sail the 500-odd km straight to Eden on the southeast coast of New South Wales, where he will find a safe harbour for any potential tempest. May you receive fair winds to Eden, Two Dogs. Stay safe.
