⁣This past Christmas, my parents, Martin and Janet celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Which as most folks know, is a rarity these days in our society and even more rare in Hollywood. ⠀ ⠀ As we are still in a pandemic, we couldn’t justify throwing them the big party that they deserved. Instead my girlfriend Jacquie and I created a “private restaurant” for them in the living room by the fire, where they could celebrate together safely. ⠀ ⠀ We set up a reservation desk/temp check station, “a wait staff” and in house “chef” were employed in an attempt to give them an experience they would never forget. ⠀ ⠀ After the Sheens “confirmed their reservation,” "Chef Jacquie" and the "staff" printed menus and prepared five courses, all while playing different bistro employees and refraining from acknowledging any familial ties. Our charade was so silly, it was nearly impossible not to laugh while in character. ⠀ ⠀ After the anniversary dinner was completed, dishes were being washed and kudos lavished on the chef, Mr. Sheen inquired about about the possibility of booking again for another seating at his new "favorite restaurant." ⠀ ⠀ However, he was immediately informed that the establishment was booked solid for the remainder of 2022, but would be digitally notified if a table/seating opened up through our partnership with Open Table.
