Teva Tip Tuesday☀️
I purchased the Original Universal @teva Sandals in Sand Dune at the beginning of summer and feel like I can now give a fulsome review after a summer of wear. I bought these to replace a pair of Chacos that I previously bought a few summers ago. I found I never really jived well with the fit of Chacos, as much as I wanted to love them. Erik and I have the same size feet so he's now the proud owner of my hand-me-downs and loves them (so not all is lost). Anyway, here are my thoughts on the Tevas:
Sizing: I have longggg narrow feet (size 10 in sandals) and I felt like these fit true to size. the adjustable straps can be tightened comfortably for a looser or more snug fit, without having it feel like the straps are dangling around (you would understand if you have narrow feet😵)
Durability: I'm rough on my shoes. My mom has banned me from ever borrowing some of her nicer sandals because I trip and drag the toe box of my shoes. Other than a few scuffs upfront from said tripping...the sandals are super durable. I've taken them down rushing rivers and hiked on granite rocks and concrete. I wouldn't hike a half marathon in these but they're great for casual camp wear.
Comfort: These are like a second skin to me now. I honestly would (and do) wear them around the house because they're just so dang comfortable. It did take a few wears and some unfortunate blisters at the beginning so I won't say they were a dream right out of the box but I would trade those few not-so-perfect wears for the level of comfort they bring now.
A few other things: I find the material doesn't rub when wet and dries pretty quickly! They're also very lightweight so they're easy to toss in your backpacking bag for a light shoe around camp.
Anyone else love @teva as much as I do? 🤷🏼♀️💕 #tevatuesday
