Earlier this year, IFAW helped fund the rescue of 11 tigers and two bears from Phuket Zoo, where they were kept in small concrete cages. Not only were they forced to live in these cruel conditions, but they were used as photo props, spending hours chained to a platform for tourists to take pictures with every day.⁠ ⁠ When the zoo closed for financial reasons, the animals were transferred to the @wildlife_friends_foundation.
