never been so happy, never been so sleepy 🤣〰️🌿 we had our first real day alone together yesterday and night last night (with a small visit from my best friend in the evening) and it went well! i never planned on being a single mom, and well I come from a family where my dad and brothers are both really domestic mom dads with their children so I think i had high expectations of the kind of « help » I’d get from what I was surrounded by. doing it solo is definitely difficult these first weeks and it’s not realistic to think your family, friends and help will spend every waking moment with you. so jumping in is nice. I find my love and the small moments with ziggy really keep me energetic and coffee, and showers with naps help. i think keeping up with who you are while growing together is important. we listened to some music this morning over breakfast and it felt quite blissful. my idea of family is evolving and I’m just feeling so grateful.
