Trying to listen, learn, donate, make calls and make plans for long term involvement and making being anti-racist a part of how I operate. I am guilty of feeling shy of being more vocal on issues about race- worried it wasn’t my place to speak out. And complacent that my empathy was enough. The truth is it’s more uncomfortable to talk about racism and I want to reckon with my own limitations. I keep remembering the movie 13th by Ava Duverney and hope everyone has a chance to watch. Racism is entrenched in our history and it’s going to take a lot of work to undo. Much love to everyone.
