I just wrapped up another year at the @mindbody BOLD 2022 Conference held in Los Angeles. As you can see myself and my sisters attended. We wanted to see what this year had to offer us. Their focus was on Wellness and the call to action. My sister @keiseanraines was a facilitator this year. She led a BBMM Balancing Breathwork + Micro-Dosing Meditation. We heard @ashleygraham interview and share a bit of her personal journey with body image and combating against the industry who said NO you’re not model material. There were some cool highlights and some not so cool ones. Seeing the lack of diversity that still is running through a successful company for over 20+years. Who’s focus is on the Wellness industry, is something I hope changes drastically in the next few years. I also hope actions are taken to truly implement the consistency of showing ALL types body shapes, sizes, mobility ranges, cultures across the board. From staff, volunteers, mains stage speakers, breakout sessions etc. Understanding the importance of holding space for the BIPOC & LGBTQ+ communities is KEY to being fully inclusive and NOT a performative corporation. We all have room to grow and learn in order to make better decisions for our businesses and communities.
