↓↓↓ SHARE this post + FOLLOW @foodthoughtsforall for more San Diego restaurant openings! 📌 🧆🧞‍♂️🪔🫓🍷💫 It’s been just over a month since the opening of @leilanorthpark and now that the hype has slighhhhty died down... and after waiting 30 days for our reservation to arrive, we decided to check it out again to see if the hype was real or if it was just clever marketing and FOMO! And no, I was not paid to do this review, nor, were the meal(s) comped 😅 What To Know! ⤵️ + open 5PM-midnight weekends, 5-11PM weekdays + reservations are STRONGLY recommended, but walk-ins are welcome + reservations open 30 days in advance and are not accepted for parties larger than 6 + last seating for dinner is at 9:45 PM on weekdays and 10:45 PM on weekends + the upstairs bar does not serve food, only cocktails + some vegan options available + entrees do not come with rice — available to order $6-8 What We Tried 😍⤵️✨ FALAFEL ($12) ZEYTOON PARVARDEH ($7) MAAST O MOUSIR ($12) ⭐️ SOLTANI PLATTER ($84) ⭐️ Comes with yogurt and rice! STEAK KABOB SHISHLIK ($26) ⭐️ TAH DIG ($12) ⭐️ KNAFEH SUNDAE ($12) Overall experience: 9/10 ✨ Is it worth it? 💫 Absolutely, YES! I wouldn’t say this should be your monthly spot on repeat, but 100% worth checking out once. The drinks were great, but the sweeter ones were a tad too sweet and not as boozy. The food was delicious, only complaint I had is the meats were a bit salty (I was able to ask for less salt based on my last experience). The falafel was also too salty... so I’d say skip that. Their pita and naan breads are a MUST — warm & fluffy, fresh from the wood-fired oven! And this time we tried the Tahdig which was also one of my faves 😋 I do wish they would offer extra bread at no charge when ordering dips and yogurt. Overall, amazing experience.
