In 2022 I played some sweet rigs with some incredible musicians surrounding me and supporting me. Thank you to @ccdrumco @istanbulagop @innovativepercussion @ludwigmusser @nelson_drum_shop @prodrumhollywood šŸ„šŸŽ¶āœŒšŸ¼. I feel like I accomplished so much as a drummer this year while also playing my first ever solo shows under my name as an artist. This year was a huge turning point for me in that regard - finally stepping forward and performing solo despite my fears. I’m so grateful to have played at Club Congress, Tucson Folk Festival, Gold Diggers and White Feather Farm. I can’t wait to play more solo shows in 2023, my next appearance is at the legendary Hotel Cafe in Hollywood on January 10th! As a drummer I continue to feel awe at how far I have come in this business; farther than I ever imagined. The lessons I learn on this journey are not easy but I look toward the future with optimism that the experiences of 2022 will ease my path into 2023. This year I played more late night TV, my first ACL, had the honor of drumming alongside Rick Allen for Lauren Monroe, played drums for John Hamm in ā€œConfess, Fletchā€, sidelined in 80 For Brady (out 2/3/23), recorded with Matt Rollings, became a member of the Recording Academy, played marimba on a Grammy Nominated album (Gaby Moreno) for the first time, enjoyed being part of a flourishing jazz trio with Nadav Peled and Jake Leckie with a monthly gig @tabularasabar under my name, and so many more incredible experiences I can’t begin to list them all and I hope I don’t offend anyone by keeping this paragraph short. I am overwhelmed by the opportunities I’ve been granted and I know they are precious -it’s important to try to be as grateful in the moment you’re playing because the moments are fleeting...
