The perfect San Francisco spot to have incredible Cal-Italian food that isn’t stuffy or overdone is @mattinasf. This Pacific Heights spot has warm and friendly vibes and it feels like Chef Matthew Accarrino knows most of the people who are eating because there are so many repeat customers! It’s the sister restaurant of SPQR which is located around the corner. Mattina opens in the morning for charcoal-toasted biscuits and coffee and also has a light lunch menu. There are lots of special nights in the evenings including Neighborhood Nights on Tues & Weds where you can get a three course tasting menu for $39 and B&B Thursdays (meat night). They also have an amazing “Appi Hour” special where you can get a Vermouth Spritz and a piece of pizza for $20. I would honestly stop in just for this! My favorite dishes: - Box cut spaghetti - Mushroom truffle tagliatelle - Pasta pie - Tiramisu (has a special base made with biscuits left over from breakfast) - Spiedini (charcoal grilled skewers with salsa verde) I can’t wait to go back! #sanfrancisco #sanfranciscofood #onlyinsf #ilovesf #sffood
