7 myths I used to believe about being ‘healthy’ 🤪👊🏻💕 1. A workout has to be REALLY crazy hard on your body to be ‘effective.’ 👊🏻FALSE: I found that simply finding movement I love 💕that can be consistent with is where I saw the best progress. 2. Carbs 🥯🍠🥙are bad. 👊🏻FALSE: Carbs are our primary source of fuel. Once I started re-introducing carbs, I had more energy, better digestion & healed my relationship with food. 3. Your social life👯 will suffer. 👊🏻FALSE: My social life is now better and more fulfilling than ever. I’ve learned that if health ever compromises your social life, relationships, etc., it’s not healthy for you! 4. If you don’t have an hour ⏱to workout, don’t bother. 👊🏻FALSE: Move your body each day, however long you can and however feels good to you. Whatever the time you can commit does make a HUGE difference! 5. Health is only physical. 👊🏻FALSE: When I started focusing on my mind🧠🧘🏼‍♀️ as much as my physical body (if not more), I saw the best positive changes in my life. Mindset is everything and mental health >> 6. A diet knows what I need to eat more than I do. 👊🏻FALSE: Nobody 🙅🏼‍♀️knows my body better than me, and we’re all bio-individual, meaning something different will work for everybody & this will ebb and flow! 7. Walking isn’t an exercise. 👊🏻FALSE: Walking daily is probably one of the best things I’ve done for my mental and physical health & there are a TON of studies 👩🏼‍🔬to back it’s importance and positive impact. OK now I need to know, which of these resonated with you?! ☝🏼Any myths you used to believe that you want to share? LMK below! xx #PurelyPope 💕🤍
