Inspiring and supporting girls and young women to become environmental, socially conscious community leaders is at the heart of our vision and mission - and today especially we want to celebrate and honour just some of the amazing women who inspire us to do this work.
We want to celebrate:
Karen Dunbar: our well-being ambassador, community artist, and dear friend. Karen works with such great heart and commitment, delivering her rap workshops to many of our groups. We are so blessed to have her in our lives and programmes.
Ada Lovelace: a mathematician and writer, known for her work on a proposed mechanical general-purpose computer, and to have published the first algorithm. She is often regarded as the first computer programmer.
Margaret Smith: the policy and development officer for community justice Glasgow. Margaret has led the vision for our collaborative piece of work to build the Let’s Get Connected app - a digital directory of services to connect people touched by the justice system back into their communities. We are so inspired by Margaret’s commitment and passion to build safer, more connected communities.
Our volunteers and members are the absolute lifeblood and daily inspiration of our work.
