“You teach others how to treat you” I heard this a few weeks back and haven’t been able to shake it off. Today’s caption was going to say “ I am learning to choose myself and it has been amazing” The real is, I am learning to choose myself and it has been a trying process. Not always being available and giving every piece of yourself in family relationships, friendships... Setting boundaries and being completely honest when you are hurt- this right here is my worst attribute. I try to soften the blow which then leaves me carrying the heaviness of those feelings... I could go on and on. It’s okay to be a bit selfish, God won’t smite you lol This isn’t going to happen overnight but sometimes you have to put you first ✨
