We'll skip the "Orange you glad..." jokes and get right to it: today Chef Giselle shows us how to supreme an orange for perfect orange segments. We like to supreme an orange when we want max citrus flavor without any bitterness from the rind and pith—hello fruit salad!
1. Slice off each end of your orange so you have a flat base to work on—this will keep your orange steady and much easier to work with.
2. Following the shape of your fruit, use your knife to slice off sections of the rind.
3. Find lines around you orange where the pith is and carefully make cuts in between these lines to remove your orange supremes.
