The 818! Amazing 1955 aerial looking south down Tujunga Ave. towards the Hollywood Hills. Visible in the distance beyond are Baldwin Hills, Palos Verdes, and Catalina alllll the way in the back towards the top of the image. The street running diagonal from bottom right to center left is Lankershim. The park visible is North Hollywood Park with one border being formed by the Tujunga Wash. What you don’t see are freeways — today the 170 would follow the Tujunga Wash (which is decidedly less curvy in its channelized state) while the 101 would cut across the center of the photo.
