Four rescued calves have officially returned #BackToTheWild where they belong! 🎉 After undergoing care and treatment at the IFAW-WTI Center for Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation in Assam, India, elephant calves, Tinsuki, Murphulani, Hoji, and Sonaram, have been successfully translocated and rehabilitated in Manas National Park. The translocation journey to Manas took 16 hours from start to finish. The elephants were transported in large trucks with belly ropes fixed to the vehicle’s body to ensure their stability and safety. When they finally arrived, the calves celebrated by playing and splashing in the muddy waters while getting acquainted with their new home. 🐘❤️ Photos: Subhamoy Bhattacharjee / © IFAW-WTI
