working on shooting my real ferrero rocher recipe so in the mean time here are my ferrero rocher protein balls 🫶 1/4 cup hazelnut butter (can sub almond butter) 3 tbsp maple syrup 2 tbsp cacao powder 3 tbsp chocolate protein powder (optional) 3/4-1 cup ground hazelnuts (can sub almond meal) 1 tsp vanilla + pinch of sea salt Coating: 1 cup chocolate chips 1/3 cup crushed hazelnuts Mix the nut butter, Vanilla & sea salt, cacao powder, & maple until well combined. If using protein powder, stir that inn next. If not using, just skip to the hazelnut/almond meal. Start with 2/3 cup, stirring it in well, adding another 1/4 if needed until you can form them into balls without being too sticky. Roll the mixture into 12-13 small balls & place a whole hazelnut into the center, forming the ball around it so it’s covered. Place the balls in the freezer for 30min-1 hour to firm up enough to dunk. Place the crushed hazelnuts in a small bowl. Melt the chocolate in another. Dip a ball into the chocolate, tapping off extra, then immediately roll in the hazelnuts. Place on a lined cookie sheet. Repeat with remaining balls.
