I spent the week after the death of the queen running around on assignment for le monde photographing the crowds, the rituals and all the mourning. Perhaps the most interesting was a visit to Belfast where the response to her death and the king’s visit was see in starkly different ways. I didn’t make it to Scotland. This is the end of an era and the queen will be surely missed.
